Mary Mara, "ER" and "Ray Donovan" actress, dead at 61
Actress Mary Mara is dead after an apparent drowning on Sunday, June 26.
She was found just after 8am on Sunday in a river near the Canadian border and is believed to have drowned while swimming, authorities said.
"The preliminary investigation suggests the victim drowned while swimming," according to police.
Police said an official cause of death is still pending, but that there were no signs of foul play.
Mara had a list of credits that spanned television and film, including multi-episode roles on shows like "Dexter," "The Practice" and "Star Trek: Enterprise."
She was arguably most recognizable for her roles on "Nash Bridges," "ER" and "Ray Donovan."
Her last credit was in 2020, in a movie called Break Even.
